Once in a while, I like to view the works of favorite painters. While viewing the works of one painter, I concentrated for quite some time on his self-portrait. I just couldn’t let go for some reason. The self-portrait stayed with my mind’s eye all day. When I lay down to sleep for the night, my mind’s eye began to paint him in my head. The next day, I grabbed a canvas and started to paint him. I have no idea why I saw him as I did but the painting is the result. In no way should it be interpreted as demonic or representative of the dark side. The painting is simply how I saw the painter’s self-portrait.
